Cultural Competence Videos

These cultural competence videos are intended to increase your company's capacity for effectively recruiting, selecting and integrating skilled immigrants. There are currently two videos: Finding Talent focuses on issues of sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection of skilled immigrant candidates, and, Maximizing Skilled Immigrant Talent focuses on how cultural differences can impact team dynamics. A sequel to Finding Talent will be produced by mid-2010.

Finding Talent is separated into segments that will allow trainers to use the accompanying video training manual.

Maximizing Skilled Immigrant Talent contains several episodes on various issues that arise in cross-cultural teams.

The videos are designed by TRIEC to support HR professionals and line managers who would like to build on their own level of cultural competence and/or create an inclusive work environment. The videos have been posted online so that organizations can also use them for internal training purposes.
