Integrating Talent, a training video developed by TRIEC, uses a storytelling approach to present the business case for integrating skilled immigrant talent and explores strategies for companies looking to create an inclusive workplace. (Version français.)
It has been almost a year since Tarek, in Finding Talent, was hired at the fictional corporation MetroCan Technologies, despite the initial reluctance of the hiring manager. For skilled immigrants, securing a job can be a challenge, but making it past the probation period can be even tougher considering companies’ unwritten rules of corporate culture. The video follows Tarek and the MetroCan team through his first six months on the job.
This video is intended for HR professionals and line managers to help them learn about ways to effectively integrate skilled immigrant employees as well as for employers and immigrant-serving agencies offering training to skilled immigrants who are looking for work in their fields. It is one of the resources TRIEC offers to support employers in implementing inclusive talent management practices to successfully integrate skilled immigrant employees in their workplace.
To use the Integrating Talent video for internal training or presentations, you can download through the TRIEC Campus. You will have to register (free) and then you can download the video.
You can also download a facilitator’s guide (for an employer audience), a facilitator’s guide (for a skilled immigrant audience) and a self-study guide for skilled immigrants.
