Cross-Cultural Teamwork Introduction

Cultural misunderstandings can arise in the workplace due to cultural and religious differences. But employers can minimize these misunderstandings and leverage the talents of their skilled immigrant employees. (Version français.)

Cross-Cultural Teamwork is a series of training videos developed by TRIEC to demonstrate how cultural differences can impact team dynamics in a Canadian workplace and offers strategies for maximizing the contribution of all team members on a culturally diverse team.

This section provides a brief written description of the business context within which the ensuing scenes occur. It also introduces the five team members — three long-term employees of the company and two skilled immigrant “new hires.”

The series is intended for HR professionals and anyone who manages a team with culturally diverse employees, as well as for employers and immigrant-serving agencies offering training to skilled immigrants who are looking to integrate into the Canadian workplace.

Watch the video or to use the video for internal training or presentations, you can download through the TRIEC Campus. You will have to register (free) and then you can download the video.
