Europe’s political leaders are struggling with how to manage the ever-growing number of desperate asylum seekers reaching its shores, with German Chancellor Angela Merkel calling on other European leaders to take in more migrants and the leaders of France and Germany recently expanding their own pledges for asylum.
Celebrities are using their widely followed Twitter accounts to raise awareness, taking out ads about their support and offering out their homes to refugee families. And the hugely popular German soccer club Bayern Munich said last week it would donate $1.1 million to refugee projects, as well as start a training camp for migrant children and teens that would include German language lessons.
So how are business leaders joining the cause?
