Academic Credentials Assessment Service (ACAS)

evaluates the education of individuals who have obtained their education abroad and issues a report that details a comparison of their credentials with educational standards in Manitoba.

Government of Quebec - Immigration

provides comparative evaluation documentation for studies done outside of Quebec and Canada. The document determines the comparison to the Quebec educational system and its main diplomas/benchmarks for studies completed outside Quebec.

International Credential Assessment Service (ICAS)

provides credential assessment services and has offices across Ontario, with the head office in Guelph.

International Credential Evaluation Service (ICES)

is offered through the BC Institute of Technology. It evaluates educational programs for people who have studied in other provinces or countries and determines comparable education levels in BC and Canada, providing the level, length and subject matter of each program.

International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS)

provides an advisory educational assessment service which compares educational qualifications from other countries to provincial educational standards. Located in Alberta, IQAS can provide national service.

SISO - Skills Advantage

provides links to various organizations (in Hamilton and Toronto) that assess foreign/international documentation.

The Alliance of Credential Evaluation Assessment Services of Canada

provides contact information for its members across Canada. Either WES, ICES or IQES will be able to provide services to an employer in the Atlantic Provinces.

The Comparative Education Service (CES) at the University of Toronto

provides document-by-document equivalency of foreign academic credentials to Canadian education at all levels. They also provide course-by-course evaluations of studies completed at the undergraduate level. These courses are equated to Canadian courses, but not University of Toronto courses. Their office is located in Toronto at the University.

World Education Services (WES)

provides credential evaluation services that enable employers to understand the exact nature and Canadian equivalency of the educational background of prospective employees. The evaluation verifies the authenticity of credentials submitted.
